studio b dance

Picture
Bianca is the builder and proprietress of studio b.  Originally trained as a classical ballet dancer, Bianca went on to a variety of occupations before falling in love with dance all over again when she took up Argentine Tango.

Bianca's dance background includes swing dance (primarily East Coast and Lindy Hop), African dance, ballroom, and modern.  She has extensive ballet experience with Finis Jhung technique and Royal Academy of Dance and Cecchetti styles.  Her training included a summer in England under the tutelage of Madame Manzani, who was a ballet instructor to members of the Royal family.  Bianca  studied for nearly a decade under Master Instructor, Christina Noel-Adcock in Denver, performed with the Arvada Civic Ballet.  Bianca also taught intermediate-advanced ballet classes in the Denver Metro Area before leaving to pursue academics.  In college she had the privileged of learning Martha Graham technique under the renowned Diane Gray (a modern dance icon) and has studied with Finis Jhung himself.  In the world of Argentine Tango, Bianca considers her primary mentors to be Robert Hauk and Daniel Boardman. She is the assistant organizer of the Albuquerque Tango Festival and a board-member for the Tango Club of Albuquerque.

In 2003 she choreographed and produced a modern dance production entitled Longroad and Blackhorse, which premiered at the Cleo Parker Robinson Theater. After being away from dance for several years, in 2009 she began the process of building studio b.

Bianca is also a license instructor of the GYROKINESIS® method of exercises.

The Tango Community & Studio B

Picture
Once the structure was in place (many thanks to Nathan Troyer and his magnificent construction skills) Bianca and friends set out to hang insulation and drywall, install flooring, paint, tile, stucco, and every other task that was necessary to complete the quest to have a dance space.  Bianca considers Studio B to be a community space because the building would not exist were it not for the help of her loyal and generous friends, most notably Mukul Gadde and Will Parsons, who both gave tirelessly in their commitment to get the studio done.  This studio is dedicate to them and to her mother, Nancy Juganaru, who was ceaselessly supportive and helped Bianca financially to finish the studio.
